Stone Creek Golf Course

Stone Creek Golf Course is a Northwest golf experience at its best. With the big fur trees surrounding each hole and a view of Mount Hood in the background make it an ideal place to golf. The course is 6,873 yards long and has a course rating of 72.4. The course has a little bit of everything with water, hills, trees and lots of bunkers. It is a challenging course that a golfer looks forward to.

Wildwood Golf Course

Wildwood Golf Course has a rating of 68.3. Wildwood is located just 15 minutes from downtown Portland but has some spectacular scenery on the course. There is a lot of variety on the course with each hole providing separate challenges that make it enjoyable to all golfers. There are a lot of hills on the course and it is recommended to golfers to rent carts to use. The location of the course in a valley makes it an ideal place to golf without having to worry about the wind.

RedTail Golf Course

RedTail Golf Course is located in Beaverton and features 7,117 yards of golf with a course rating of 74.4. The course opened in 1966 and is definitely one of the best public courses in Portland. RedTail is equipped with a driving range, several putting & chipping greens, restaurant, and a club house. There are plans to build a superb miniature golf course on the premises. RedTail provides golfers with everything they want in there golf experience.

Heron Lakes Golf Course

Heron Lakes Golf Course features two fun and challenging courses. First the Greenback course features 6,595 yards and a course rating of 71.4. The second course is the Great Blue course that features 6,916 yards of golf and a rating of 73.6. The Great Blue course is the tougher of the two but both have water hazards throughout the course. Golfers are recommended to bring an extra sleeve of balls. Great Blue was rated as 4 stars by Golf Digest and featured in best places to play.

Langdon Farms Golf Course

Langdon Farms Golf Course is located just outside the metro area in Aurora, Oregon. The longest tees feature 6,935 yards of golf with a course rating of 73.3. Langdon Farms prides itself in being the number one course to host tournaments and corporate events. Even though the course is relatively new (opening in 1995), it has been recognized by numerous respected institutions (Including Portland Business Journal and Golf Digest) as the best public course in the state.

Columbia Edgewater Country Club

Columbia Edgewater Country Club is one of the best clubs in the region. It actually provides a 9 hole par 3 course in addition to its 18 hole course (72.1 Course Rating). Members have the benefit of being able to play the short course if they are pressed for time or just want to work on there short game. The facilities and service provided are top notch as well.

Oregon Golf Club

The Oregon Golf Club is another championship course set with the Cascade Mountains in the backdrop. The course (74.4 Course Rating) was designed by Peter Jacobson. It is a Scottish inspired course and will test each golfers precision and shot making capabilities. The course is kept in immaculate conditions with breathtaking beauty. Several of the holes are places along the scenic Willamette River. It has great amenities including a beautiful club house on property that is worthy of the course it is on.

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort

Bandon Dunes Golf Resort is located along the scenic coast in Southern Oregon. Bandon Dunes provides four world class courses. It is definitely a haven for those looking to take a golf vacation. The club strives itself in playing golf they what it was supposed with the elements and all. This makes for a tough and challenging course. Even though it is a difficult course it is a lot of fun and very enjoyable with many of the holes right next to the Pacific Ocean. Pictures do not do the course justice!

Pumpkin Ridge Golf Club

Pumpkin Ridge sets the standard for golf courses in the area. They offer two championship level courses, Witch Hollow (75.1 Course Rating) and Ghost Creek (73.8 Course Rating). Witch Hollow is exclusively for members only. It has been rated in 2005 in Golf Digest.  Two Courses:

Witch Hollow
Designed by Robert Cupp, this members-only course is nestled in the shadows of the Tualitin Mountains surrounded by dense stands of fir, maple, oak, and ash. Its challenging and scenic layout was the site of the 1997 and 2003 U.S. Women’s Open and was rated in 2005 in Golf Digest’s America’s 100 Best Modern Courses. Witch Hollow most recently hosted the 2006 U.S. Women’s Amateur.

Ghost Creek
Hailed as one of the nation’s premier semi-private golf courses, Ghost Creek’s Robert Cupp-designed layout emulates traditional golf course architecture with gently rolling terrain and a creek that reappears throughout. Ghost Creek was home to the NIKE TOUR Championships in 1993 and 1994 and was rated in 2005 in Golf Magazine’s Top 100 Places You Can Play.
