Portland's Race. Portland's Cause. Portland is a town of two halves, one part cosmopolitan quirkiness, the other active outdoorsiness. The same could be said of those of us who live in and around it. For years, this locally run race has allowed runners to exercise both halves in the name of an outstanding, local, cause: Albertina Kerr Centers.

Portland's Race For The Roses
Portland's Race. Portland's Cause. Portland is a town of two halves, one part cosmopolitan quirkiness, the other active outdoorsiness. The same could be said of those of us who live in and around it. For years, this locally run race has allowed runners to exercise both halves in the name of an outstanding, local, cause: Albertina Kerr Centers. Come experience why Race for the Roses has become a must-do event on the Northwest running calendar.
Two distances—half marathon and 5k—give everyone an opportunity to run or walk through the community they're helping to support. The Oregon Convention Center serves as their base of operations, meaning you stay warm and dry before and after your run, no matter what the conditions. Scenic, fast and accurate courses show off the best of the city, and are stocked with aid stations to keep you from wilting before the finish. Roses and medals are given out to every finisher, while a large spread of food awaits to replenish your energy. Raffle prizes for the simply lucky and top finisher awards for the fleet of foot add to the festivities.
