The Hippo Hardware has been well known in the Portland area for many years. It is far more entertaining than the average hardware store and is stock full of odd stuff that can be very useful. They offer a wide variety of parts, fixtures, and services. In their three story building they sell everything from hardware, plumbing, light fixtures, architectural items, a little furniture and much more. Hippo Hardware is a unique store the owners have turned into much more than just a hardware store, it is a Portland institution.
The Hippo Motto is: 'If you purchase an item or service from us and it is not right for some reason or other, bring it back and we will refund your money'. They purchase and trade every day for cash or for trade credit. So don’t forget to bring your old fixtures in there for a swap – it’s a trading company too!
