Their vision is to provide patient specific, detailed information, that is easy to put into practice, to clients who want to know how to manage or abolish their own pain. They accomplish this through the McKenzie Method, also known as Mechanical Diagnosis and Therapy.
The McKenzie Method is a philosophy of active patient involvement and education that is trusted and used by practitioners and patients all over the world for back, neck, and extremity problems. The key distinction is that they accurately reach a diagnosis and only then make the appropriate treatment plan. Rarely is time or money wasted to perform extensive tests, Certified McKenzie clinicians have a valid indicator to know right away whether, and how, the method will work for each patient.
Ted Ellquist has been a physical therapist since graduating from Loma Linda University in 1990. He has worked in a variety of settings including orthopedic out patient, acute care, retirement centers, long term care facilities and sub-acute rehabilitation. During his career, Ted has been a traveling physical therapist where he worked in California, Florida, North Carolina, Massachusetts.
They offer their services to anyone who can benefit from learning how to be pain free or to prevent injuries. They would like to serve patients from the GLBT community, clients seeking conservative treatment in order to avoid expensive procedures, and clients who do not have the time to make multiple trips to medical appointments.
In order to offer treatment to clients who do not have time for outside appointments, Ted Ellquist will provide physical therapy services at the clients work site. This can include evaluation of the condition, education and training in what to do for the condition and exercises specific to that condition.
