A Family Friendly Friday night and FREE! A quartet version of the Bobby Torres Ensemble will be playing at the Heathman Hotel Tea Room on Friday May 16, 2008. The show starts at 8:00 pm. Bobby features different musicians in each quartet to expose and explore the many musical inflections of Latin Jazz. Listen to great jazz while enjoying gourmet food and drinks in this family friendly venue. Minors are welcome for the entire evening. No cover. The Heathman Hotel Tea Room is an intimate setting in the heart of this classic hotel. The hotel is located on the corner of Broadway and Salmon streets at 1001 S.W. Band founder and leader, Bobby Torres, is a record producer, songwriter, percussion instructor and session musician from Portland, Oregon. From touring and playing Woodstock with Joe Cocker through ten years of touring with Tom Jones and many other misical legends, Torres has been on the music scene for more than 35 years. His talent as a percussionist has also led to performances with stars such as Jackson Browne, Al Jarreau, The Captain & Tennille, The Beach Boys and Etta James. Since 1995, the Bobby Torres Ensemble has been his central focus.
